No, it's a proper track and all, the sort they include in those 'chill-out' albums and shit. I don't expect anyone to know what one I'm on about, but I just hate it when you hear something and you have no idea what the buggery it is called.

I've just bought the Royksopp album! Very cool...I only bought it because I liked the music from the T-Mobile ad.

I liked the one from the T-Mobile ad ('So Easy' I think, I downloaded it from epitomic.com) but I heard a couple of their other songs on MTV2 and wherever else and they were a bit pants.

A bit of 'Name that Tune' is in order here. The current song in my head is one that is hard to describe, and also one I haven't the clue what it is called, nor who it is by. All I know is the Wombles it isn't. It's a chill-out, ambient type track, often used in TV programs (I heard it on that 'Wild About Harry' film on TV the other day). It's not a new track, being at least 2+ years old and it predominantly features some kind of brass instrument, probably not a tuba or trombone but something. It is most tranquil. I can't remember anything but the first few seconds of it. Real helpful. If you can name that tune in my head, and it turns out to be the real one, MAGNIFICIENT GLORY and PRIZES await you, as well as DEATH, but death awaits us all so that's not really your reward, just an unfortunate fact of life. Could it be the Groove Armada "if you're fond of sand dunes and salty air" tune? Can't remember what it's called though... There is another song it could be, I'm sure of it, but I can't think what it is at the moment... I'm going through a big old Autechre phase at the moment, in particular the album 'Chiastic Slide'. But right now I'm listening to PIOBmx.

I've worked out it's Black Box Recorder I'm thinking of... but I can't remember the tune or what it's called... What a totally useful post.

Hmm, it could Groove Armada, I've heard a few of their tracks, they certainly have a similar vibe and it's from the era when the Armada made an impact on the charts - 99/00. But then again it might not be.
And don't worry about the usefulness of your posts, as if anybody elses are even remotely useful!

It's definitely Groove Armada - At the River. The trumpet (?) solo is the bit they always play on tv.
I'd seen the video before Christmas which is why I was so frustrated at not being able to remember who it was by.
Now I know, I can pretend I'm all knowledgable about such music when it next pops up in conversation.
Cheers doctorvee.

"Disenchanted Lullaby" by Foo Fighters is in my head, well it's my fav from their latest album and I've listened to it quite a lot.
Much more worrying is that the theme tune from Ripley and Scuff is also etched in my skull and I know most of the words too.

Stuck a Now 11 tape in my stereo today..... was quite refreshing to hear the old songs again. 'Heaven is place on Earth' by Belinda Carlisle keeps popping into my head now. Top tune.
