Listening to Alanis' Jagged Little pill. A great album, but the followups were pants.
Anyone else know of another artist/band that can't produce the goods anymore?

Limp Bizkit:Significant Other - Excellent album. Chocolate Starfish & The Hot Dog Flavoured Water - Three decent tracks...Rollin, My Way & Take A Look Around. Results May Vary - I was handed a copy of this album yesterday. There's 17 tracks on it. I managed to make it half way through track 3 before putting it back in it's case and throwing it across the desk. Replacing it with Permission To Land. Blink182:Buddah, Cheshire Cat, Dude Ranch & Enema of the State were good albums. Old Blink was best. The Mark, Tom & Travis Show and Take Off Your Pants And Jacket were absolute pants. God help us for their new album...the title has the word 'erection' in it. So it should be a best seller. Metallica:Bit of a rollercoaster. There's been some utter shite (Load, Re-load), there's been some amazing stuff (Black album) & there's been some mediocre (St. Anger). Meh, they're still an amazing band. Korn:They've just gone from excellent to wank: Follow The Leader - Amazing Issues - Excellent KoRn - OK Life Is Peachy - Life is not peachy Untouchables - Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole

In Mike's music choice, I'd argue they were all shite and just got shite-r. Although Metallica obviously started off ok, got better, and then went (incredibly) shite. I actually like Load, however. I got it on cassette and the first side is as about as good as any half of a Metallica album has been. The other side (after Bleedin' Me) is pants though, but Outlaw Torn is a good end.
I think 3 Colours Red went towards the road with the sign 'this way to Pants Ville' too. 'Pure' was great pub band-esque rock, but the follow-up was way too overproduced and lacking the charm and catchiness of the other albums. Although 'Beautiful Day' and b-sides 'If' and 'God shaped hole' were quality. Then they split... but reformed so maybe they'll be good again. Not heard any of their recent stuff though.
Ocean Colour Scene ... good to who?
Stereophonics .... nothing really interests me since PAC.
Beastie Boys .... hit their peak with 'Ill Communication' and plummeted fast.
Garbage ... I liked the first album. Nothing real quality about it, but consistant throughout. Gone down the pop-esque dunny.
Feeder. Actually, that's not true. I just wish they could summon up some energetic, yet not wholly miserable material for the next album.

That was pre-Pushing the Senses. Now I've given up on them completely. Too tiresome to listen to.

the new single will be on xfm tonight between 7 and 9 if (like me) you have better things to do with your time than sit around waiting to hear a new song, and its mp3d and shared on the other boards, I'll share it on here too

Placebo. Can't remember all there albums but the first couple were good, slowly going down hill from there. Now I can't bring myself to buy there albums.
