The JCB Song by Nizlopi: A nostalgic song about a boy taking a day off school to go on a ride with his Dad in his old man's JCB. Not the greatest song by any means, but a joyful little acoustic number, and it's hard not to get some kind of smile out of it if you watch the video - especially when the Transformer pops up! Watch the Flash video here: www.jcbsong.co.uk/Although the quality is poor. If you download the song instead and unzip it, you get a really high quality video. Splendiferous. Crivvens! Six months later, and the song has reached number one in the charts! How the fog did that happen ? I'm hoping it stops Westlife getting to Christmas Number 1 next week, although no doubt some other rubbish will make number 1 instead.

Here's another band from MySpace. Delayed Promise. They're Mancunian and pretty decent. I'm going to go and seem them play the Retro Bar next month. www.myspace.com/delayedpromise

I only got into them recently. A friend of mine had Punkrock Princess as her song on MySpace. I liked it. And downloaded the album.

Leaving Through the Window is much better than the second album (North)... but I think North was more them if you know what I mean... think they were told to 'rock it up' a bit by Drive Thru in the beginning

Angels & Airwaves
Having spent the last decade singing about boobies, your mom and making out with your best friend’s sister, Tom DeLonge’s new creation, ‘Angels & Airwaves’ couldn’t be more different. Bringing together the unfathomable talents of Ryan Siller (ex bassist of The Distillers), David Kennedy (Boxcar Racer) and Atom Willard (ex Offspring) on drums , DeLonge has created a superband.
If you’re expecting the same tongue in cheek saccharine sweet pop punk – then you’re in for a pleasant surprise. Debut single ‘The Adventure’ is just that – an adventure into a new sound. Tinkering percussion and an extended introduction gives way to swirling guitars, a bright classical sound intertwined with magical synths and electronics. Levels shift with new intensity and Delonge’s wonderfully familiar vocals are stronger and more commanding than his Blink 182 days. With Angels and Airwaves he has become a frontman in his own right, and as he puts it so aptly ‘ it’s no holds barred now’.
Taken from Crossfire. Because I couldn't do my own review of them. Simply typing 'shithot' won't make you listen to them.

The Sounds
Swedish, I believe. They have two albums. Dying To Say This To You and Living In America. Only just heard them recently. On Bam's Unholy Union of all things. They played Ego from DTSTTY. Thought it sounded pretty good. Downloaded them. Happy with it.
Female fronted electro type rock.
