I didn't like Echo Park, but I was excited about Comfort in Sound. I thought CIS was quite good, but this new single is absolute rubbish, and I couldn't give a monkey's about the new Feeder album.

Well Moonshine was very good, and Just the Way I'm Feeling quite good too. To be honest, the album was fairly good on the whole, just nothing to be passionate or overly enthusiastic about.
I find Grant's voice more grating these days, and the production has more of a hint of cheesiness about it.

I agree with the voice thing... Some of his singing in the earlier stuff was incredible, and there's still an occasional glimmer of that in a few songs now.

To sum it up, if I was female I'd get all wet listening to their earlier stuff. But recently, the newer material leaves me dry as a dog in a car on a hot summers day.

Shatter has a half-decent Feeder chorus. I thought Victoria was one people had been raving about after seeing it live, though wasn't too impressed on hearing it today.
When I first bought YWTS, I skipped Anaesthetic (until I realised how great it was). Choke was the first ever Feeder song I didn't like in the slightest. There were a couple more on CIS...I quite like T&F though it has some annoying twiddly bits in. And if anyone has seen this weeks review in nme it's the first time ever I've actually found myself ever-so-slightly nodding in agreement about this particular song.
Still looking forward to the album, though not as excited as I would have been in the past...

C4 Teletext agrees with me in that it's the 'worst Feeder single ever'. Have yet to pluck up the motivation to go out and buy it. I really hate songs with incomplete lines in the lyrics:
"Forever we'll be.......tumble and fall"
Wtf is that??

I remember an early Metal Hammer and over enthusiastic interview saying something along the lines of 'Grant Nicholas is one of the best song writers of his time'. Was never wholly convinced by the statement.

Well Feeder are really plugging for publicity at the moment - they are on that Radio 1 Back to School thing today and will be spending a day with Andy at his school in Sheffield....
