Ah god, my bro bought one of those Kid's classic TV programs DVD's for cheap. On it there are episodes of, 'Jamie and the Magic Torch', 'Dangermouse', 'Button Moon', 'Rainbow', 'Count Duckula' and something else. Aside from the picture quality being freakily good considering the age of many of the shows, it's a brilliant bit of nostalgia. I just watched Button Moon, which has to be the cheapest ever kids TV program. It also has one of the most memorable tunes ever, kind of sad but good nonetheless. It was good to see old Mr. Spoon again, and the bottle army in action! And then I watched a bit of Rainbow. How hilarious were those puppets? If it's not camp George's voice providing some mirth, it's Zippy's incessant winding up of Bungle: the way they interact, it's like 'The Office' of kids of TV programs. And I haven't even watched Dangermouse yet......ahh, *wipes away a tear*, those were the days. They sure as hell don't make kids TV like that anymore. Shove your Teletubbies, Tweenies, Hoobs et al up the TV executives' arses, the old stuff was dynamite, and it's not as if I'm being at all biased about that. Come on, chaps, who's got some favourite kids TV moments/shows ? PS... Don't forget the Moomim thread..... scary stuff...

Depends how far back you want to take it. I mean, Knightmare was the all time classic early teen afternoon veiwing. Saw an episode of that on challenge TV recently.
Going a bit further back then you have to remember such classic cartoons as Thundercats (hoooooooooooo), Willow the Whisp and Dogtanian and the Three Muskahounds.

Knightmare, early teen viewing? It was kids stuff. You grow out of that crappy graphics and poor acting fest at about the age of 11.

My favorite old cartoon is Jem! I still have like two videos from it and i watch it sometimes when i meet someone who has never heard of her. I watched the show alot in the late eighties when i was pretty young. I don't know why i liked it so much but it was probably b/c it always had a really simple plot and it was easy to understand.

I used to fancy Jem when I was like, five. How embarrasing.
