What I want to know was, was it Saturdays 'Wide Awake Club' and Sunday's 'Whackaday' or vice versa? Or did one follow after the other?
Wide Awake Club used to be presented by Michela Strachon and Neil Bucannon (excuse the terrible spelling) if I remember. At least that's how my bizarre memory recalls it. Damn, that takes me back. Must have been what, 12 years or more since it was last on?
I remember in the later series of Whackaday when they had a counter system for the Mallet's Mallet game and occassionaly it would be already set at 3 for one kid so they never had a chance. Poor bastards. Crazy stuff children's tv in those days. What will Timmy Mallet, Gilbert and Roland Rat. Nowadays kids have to put up with idiots like Cat Dealy. Mmm Cat. Then again to be honest, I'd rather have Cat on TV than some idiot wearing specs and bermuda shorts.
