#1 Talking.
It doesn't hurt to talk. Unless you have a car dashboard lodged in your neck, in which case you better not talk, nor move for that matter - just wait for the fire brigade to cut you out. Anyway, to talk here all you need to do is press a few keys on your keyboard and attempt to form words - it's called typing (in fact, you may even be able to do this if you are trapped in a car wreck, but don't put yourself out). If you're new to this place, try typing a message. It's remarkable what you can achieve by typing messages, you may even spark off a wondrous conversation amongst the rest of the board users.
You can discuss just about anything, like the size and density of your bunions; the news; your biscuit preferences; and numerous other things. You needn't feel compelled to talk sense, or even nonsense, just converse in your prefered manner. We don't care if you have a criminal record or you are an asylum seeker, although the latter may be kicked a couple of times, just because we're fed up of kicking ourselves and wouldn't mind a Johnny foreigner to boot instead.
So if you're bored and want to chat, just say 'Hello'. And then follow up 'Hello' with some other nifty words. We're such friendly and reformed sods here that we no longer set fire to newbie's hair, so come on in and chat.
Cheers.
Collie, your friendly and not at all barmy admin.

PS - If you're new, or slightly new here, or not new but rather enigmatic, why not leave a bit of info about yourself in the following thread ==> About the board users. That way you can introduce yourself without feeling like a complete plonker. Possibly.
