...it's not worth the hastle.
Begining of last week I was told that our move date was this coming Wednesday.
The people that are buying our house spat their dummy out and said they wanted to move in either Monday or Tuesday.
So my solicitor managed to get hold of Northern Rock to see if they can get the money transfered on Tuesday instead of Wednesday. They said that it wasn't going to be a problem.
I rang everyone to change their off days to Tuesday. Which they did.
So, the people buying our house said that they might not be able to get the money for Tuesday and wanted to change it back to Wednesday.
I told them to fuck off, and that I wasn't messing anyone else around.
I've just phoned up the estate agents to find out what time I can pick up the keys tomorrow. They knew nothing about me moving tomorrow. They've still got it down as Wednesday. The two people that I've been speaking to are off on holiday. So I'm just putting it down to a backlog and they've not been informed.
I now need to get hold of my solicitor to sort out what's going on. Can I get hold of her?
CAN I FUCK!!!
Am I moving tomorrow?
Am I moving Wednesday?
Am I moving at all?
Who knows.
Tune in next week to find out!

Pain, isn't it.
We had to put the moving date back on ours because one of the soicitors had messed up. Didn't bother us because our rental contract went on for a while, but the people we were buying off were living out of boxes and had to keep cancelling the removal men.
Good luck mate...

Me and my better half are currently looking to buy our first house. It's already bloody annoying and we haven't even found a property yet!

I can't believe I've paid £99,000 for a house I can't live in yet.
The bastards that moved out left it in a right old state. When we went to view it, they must've disguissed the smell of cats really well. Upstairs is not livable. I've got carpet fitters coming today to give me a quote. Apparently, they're really expensive...but they can fit them on Friday. So money is no object.
As soon as the carpets are done, I can then move everything that belongs upstairs out of the living room.
Then everything is going to have to be dropped on Sunday for Finn's 1st Birthday.
Then I'm off supposed to be in Great Yarmouth on Monday.
I predict the house to be finished in June '08.

Get the old carpets up ASAP, and put the heating on high. If they had cats pissing everywhere then you want to expose the wooden floors upstairs and dry them out properly before you fit new carpet or you won't get rid of the smell.
I'm speaking from experience when my bastard cat weed in the bedroom.
