You just bought the bass because you thought, 'well if I want to be in a band, nobody ever wants to play bass, so there's my chance!'. Well actually that's what I thought when I considered playing a bass guitar. Currently I can play no instruments whatsoever. I still have a set of bongos that grin at me whenever I approach. They know all too well I have no idea how the bugger I should play them.

With your hands?
I have no intention of being in a band - I just want to annoy the neighbours.....

You need a drum kit as well to do that!

I play guitar, bass and drums.
But I only own a guitar.
I can't just sit there and play bass for a couple of hours. It bores me.
And I don't have enough space or cash for that matter for a drum kit.
There's a few of us that'll pop into a studio for a couple of hours and have a jam around. That's the only way I can get my hands on Bass and Drums at the moment.
I miss being in bands. I just don't have the time at the moment though.

Well at the moment I can quite happily strum the bass. Maybe the fun will wear off eventually, but we will see!

I started playing Bass to U2's Joshua Tree album. Probably why it got shit for me. Tis easy.
I've recently been listening to a bit of Fall Out Boy. I wouldn't mind trying their Dance Dance track.

Might be easy for you, but bear in mind this is the first time I have ever tried to play an instrument.
I've got one of those teach yourself books, and I am slowly making my wat through that. I have just mastered the basic notes and rests!
Give me a couple of years and I might be good....

Well I've been playing guitar for about 8 years now. I picked up a bass around 5 years ago. Using the knowledge of guitar playing, the bass was easy. Making a transition from bass to guitar is much harder though.
Plus it's a little strange that I play right handed guitar but I'm left handed with a bass and drums. I started playing right handed because I learnt from a friend. I couldn't be arsed saving up for a left handed guitar to start on. So I just used his and got used to it. But on a trip to Academy Of Sound to pick up some new strings, I picked up a left handed bass to have a dabble with.
