What's going on in music world these days? I flick through the music channels again and again and struggle to find a song that isn't worthless tat or cheesy.
There's too many 'The' bands, with their 'Rock-lite' music. The Futureheads, The Thrills, The Music, The Departure, The Bag of Shite. They're becoming monotomous like the scores of black rap and hip-hop crap that are on virtually every channel. Very little to differentiate between the lot of them.
And what's with the obsession with music porn? How many videos late at night just seem to feature naked ladies gyrating their naked bodies all over the place?
Songs that should go straight to number 1 or thereabouts due to insane amounts of airplay:
1. Jamelia: Rubbish song, on all the time.
2. Natasha Bedingfield: Lovely looking lady related to that weirdo Daniel. Actually a catchy song despite trying not to like it.
3. The Rasmus: Guilty. It's played all the time, and if it isn't, their previous song is. Goth-lite, teen friendly tunes. Bah.
4. Avril Lavigne. My Happy Ending. It is a happy ending when the song is thankfully over. Awful, awful crap.
5. The Streets. Possibly the worst shite ever from the most overhyped band ever.
Actually some of those already charted. And I'm actually pleased for Busted to stop them getting the top spot.
Songs that I've quite liked recently:
Girls - The Prodigy. Sounds like some kind of early nineties Amiga .mod/screamtracker file.
Smile - Mad Action.
Cish Cash - Basement Jaxx
And some noise by Soulfly. Despite hating that kind of rubbish usually.
