Just for the pointless hell of it, more screenshots. Enjoy wasting my bandwidth! Carthaginian troops, standing around. Battle: Hordes of Filthy Gauls versus Early Republican RomansThe Hordes Approach: And still approach: Some unlucky Gauls get a roasting: The two sides clash: A few foolish Hastati get separated from the Roman lines, but fight on, until eventually becoming overrun. As Onagers plummel the left Gaulish flank, and arrows rain in also, the barbarian central front lines falter and look increasingly shakey. Roman Equites go around the right flank of the Gauls which had already beaten many Romans, and crash into the unsuspecting infantry, after already seeing off their Gaulish cavalry counterparts. The Roman commander and Triarii surround the last of the Gaulish right flank and with the rest of the Gauls all but broken, victory is close at hand. The arrival of additional Principes on the left flank breaks the resolve of the final Gauls, the Roman might being too much even for the mail clad nobles. As the Gauls retreat back to their mud huts, a final parting flaming onager shot seals their fate... utter defeat. Ah, another triumph for the Romans. I think the Gauls should stick to flinging mud at one another and leave the fighting to the real men.
