Don't get me wrong i liked Jon, good for a laff, good drummer, but he was NOT perfect!!!!!

shush I read that article too, I refuse to believe it however... Collie? work you magic on this thread will ya? Ignorance is bliss and all that?? I wish I'd never read that article, and I'd hate for people to come here and read thet too

Of course Jon was not perfect. No-one ever said he was, and anyone who would kill themselves can't be. At the end of the day, he got himself into a bad way and unfortunately paid the price for it.
That does not alter the fact that he was a damn fine musician and always great to his fans. He loved his music and was dedicated to it which is why so many have admiration for him.
Whatever else went on does not change that fact. Please refrain from making such messages at a time when many are still in mourning. It doesn't make you a hero for saying that, nor does it help anyone else or make them feel better. It is a purely negative post that shows you have little remorse for anyone else. You say you feel sorry for his wife and the band and yet they expressed that they want privacy at this time whereas you have not shown the consideration they ask for.
