So, Mr. "I did nothing really interesting except sit around not drinking and pulling faces at all those who did" Cameron won it. Woooo. Big deal. What a load of boring bollocks. I watched quite a bit of Big Brother last year, even though I tried not to, but this year I was cured of any signs of having a reality show addiction by watching barely more than a few hours over the entire 9 weeks.
The entire format is looking tired, right down to that annoying twit of a presenter, Davina. None of the contestants dare speak out or try any sneaky tactics because they know they'll be the first to be voted out and/or booed by those sad people who get obsessed by it all, so they're all too reserved. The papers seem to blame the boring state of BB on the contestants, but it's entirely the producers fault because they've had months to think of a way to make the show interesting, and they had thousands of contestants to choose from and instead they pick that enthusiastic bunch. I mean, what wanker thought Gos would make for interesting TV?
Anyway, I'm glad it's over. But just as I breathe a sigh of relief that the reality show hysteria has died down, and that people can now concentrate on their own mundane lives instead of those people on the telly they think they know because they've watched them for a few minutes every week, now we got that crappy Fame Academy starting tomorrow, and Pop Idol a couple of weeks later. Fecking reality TV... if it ain't one, it's another......including Big Brother USA starting on E4 this week......now anyone who watches that is sad.
So does anyone have any thoughts on BB? Did anyone actually watch it? Yes ? No? Hopefully the latter...
