Anyone play any online games here?
If so let everyone know. I'm up for a challenge.
I currently play under the oh-so-amusing-if-you're-a-tit-like-me moniker of Professor Spatula (or Prof Spatula if there's a limit on the number of characters per nickname).
Games I (sometimes) play are:
---------------------------------------
Farcry - Official EU Assault servers or Clanstar's assault server.
Americas Army - Free tactical first person shooter. I can usually be found quivering in a dark corner after accidently shooting one of my own team in the face at point blank range with a machine gun. Or face down in a pool of my own claret after staring at a grenade, rather than running away. Fast.
Runescape - To be honest I don't really bother with this MMORPG shite anymore. But I might pop in as the all conquering, mighty Professor Spatula from time to time, just to laugh at the graphics if nothing else.
Toca Race Driver 2 - Brilliant and hilarious racing game. Must buy for online racing on the PC (especially as you can often find it for under twenty knicker). Nothing like ramming someone into the wall on the last lap. Almost as funny as watching Peter Kay's 'Live at the Top of the Tower' DVD/Video.
Doom - Yes Doom, the original multiplayer FPS! There's a surprising number of internet compatible servers out there. It only needs a modem for half decent playing (and a crap old PC) so if you want to play against me (or with me in co-op mode) give me an email and we'll get up and running and blasting the heck out of anything that moves. (Dodgy free copies can be downloaded off the net).
Tron 2.0 - Based on the movie Tron. The single player game is good but the multiplayer mostly crap - apart from the Light Cycles.
Medieval: Total War - Stunning real time strategy game. Only played one online game so far, and managed to outwit my Spanish enemy despite overwhelming odds. Good luck favours the English! Apart from when it comes to football. And tennis, and Cricket, and every other sport that we've allowed competing countries to play.
I also have Quake 2 but never play it.
And that's about it for now.
If anyone has a game they play online, even if it's some free card game or whatever, post it here.
Lets have some multiplayer madness.
