Like you care.
Anyway here it is on the "Good Progress - Bad Progress Score-ometer":
BAD PROGRESS ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| GOOD PROGRESS
Bold Red part shows where the progress is at. Things are slower than I hoped for.
Currently wasting time making new shield designs and tweaking a new combat system. Battles are now longer, but I can't prevent AI stupidity from ruining things. Spear units are now much more defensive and anti-cavalry oriented, and cavalry remains a thorn in the side of good battle balance. They're more vulnerable, but a rear charge still is a little too effective. Missile units are less effective against many armoured units now, but will rip through those unarmoured troops. The gap between the elite units and the non-elites has widened in some cases, but at the same time, middle of the range units tend to be closer in stats to the elites than before. Since making the new changes to the previously edited combat stats, the AI seems to stick a little more rigidly to formation now, which is good.

BAD PROGRESS ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| GOOD PROGRESS
Decided having a life and not wasting it on a modding project with little reward is more important. Despite more hours and months spent than I care to remember making the mod, and finally creating good fun battles and a potentially interesting campaign, I can't be bothered to continue a project that was only supposed to take a couple of months in the first place. I'm now going to make a few minor tweaks and changes here and there, and probably wait until BI arrives so I can mod that to make it playable. I'll hope to finish the mod one day though, just for the self satisfaction. I doubt even with the latest RTR and EB mods, they'll do everything my mod would have done.
I'll start offering some stuff I was working on instead of the mod for now.

RTW was one of those games that I quite looked forward to being released... then never bought, and before I knew where I was id forgotten about it. Maybe ill buy it when it hits the bargain re-release...

Mod resumed. For some reason or other I forget about.
As to RTW itself, it'll probably make for a good bargain re-release, as soon as they patch it and remember to include an AI for it.

Mod temporarily cancelled whilst I play with Barbarian Invasion and weep into my Cornflakes when I realise just how much work is required to make it compatible with the new version of RTW.

BAD PROGRESS |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| GOOD PROGRESS
Mod resumed with new vigour.
Most of my time is spent reskinning all the units I'd already skinned. Some of them aren't too bad bad. I think I've finally finished the Roman legionaries at last. Not much more I can do with them without using a new model. I've also figured out the basic art of making gloss maps (see my tutorial elsewhere on the forum) so all my units can have nice shiny metal armour and such. I've also finished with yet another new unit stat system, and battles are great fun with the improved AI that comes with the latest versions of RTW.
As the mod is now reduced in scope, it shouldn't take forever to finish. Although once the unit roster is finished, and a modified map installed, I'll probably end up scripting, which won't be fun, but will be time consuming.
