Oo-er. Don't know. Perhaps you have the disk in 'write protection' mode? I doubt that would give the error but you never know.

The thing with school/college computers is that if you're unlucky, you find suspicious substances stuck on the keys and mice. Not nice!

Have you checked the little slidey plastic thing is closed on the back of the disc? That could be where the error is coming from....

I remember when at school the shiny part of the disc got stuck in the disk drive when me and my mate tried to yank the bastard out. Teacher wasn't impressed. We blamed it on inferior machinery to work with. Fecking Acorn's!
