I still have arguments with the missus about the on a break thing.
If you are on a break you get to sleep with other people. That's the rules. Otherwise what's the point?

Indeed. Bloody women, they always want it both ways: their way, and their way. But they do have breasts, so you have to cut them some slack. Just enough to strangle them with later.

Lol.
Lol looks stupid with a capital L. But no capital at the start of a sentence just wouldn't be proper.

Btw, do you mean to say you don't have a firewall installed? Or perhaps you do, but you just don't know it. Aren't you using AOL? I assume their latest software includes firewall and other crap like that. If it's not all too confusing, www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp is a very good free firewall that stops nefarious nerds who live in front of their computers in the basement from hacking into your computer.

I do have aol but I don't know if I have a fire walll. Aol has anti spyware but i doesn't work obviously. I used that d/l the lava soft anti-spyware lastnight. That fixed the IE pop up problem for the most part. I've only had pop up so far and not 7 or 8! I'll d/l a firewall now too.

You ran a full spyware scan? How many dodgy things did it remove then? A program called Spybot (as mentioned earlier) is another good tool to use alongside the Lavasoft program. www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html . Download that too. The downloading process is such fun. Don't forget to regularly update the programs to find new spyware to look for. Although I don't want my PC to get infected with anything, like Computer Herpes, I always feel a tad disappointed when I've waited an hour or more for some scanning prog to find an error, or virus or spyware or whatever, and there's none found. You realise then you could have done something more interesting with the time spent scanning, like waving continuously at the television set and hoping someone on TV waves back at you - thus making you feel all special.

I don't know how much stuff it found - its all a blur to me. I just know my computer is pop up free now. Why should I download the above link too? Is one program not enough protection?

Well both programs do a similiar job, but they might pick up one thing the other one missed. Spybot also has an immunize function that helps prevent against known spyware attacks and exploits and such things that I don't really know anything about.
